Clean Team – Dishes Volunteer

Duties:

Clean Team Dishes Volunteers are essential members of the volunteer team. 

Availability:

• Speak with the director for availability
• We use peanut butter in the Kongs for dogs (potential allergy) Cleaning Agents are used in the Dish Area that may not be suitable for all volunteers. 

Duties:

• Role of the Clean Team Dishes Volunteer is to help us clean and sanitize bowls, toys,
• Kongs, water dishes, etc. in the Laundry Room. 
• Sort and soak/clean all dirty dishes
• Sanitize Dishes
• Put Dishes away on racks

Qualifications:

• A willing attitude and a genuine care for people and animals are essential. Frequent Standing, bending and twisting.
• All Volunteers must attend a general volunteer information session, and orientation.
• As a shelter volunteer, you may be exposed to blood, fluids, excrement, loud or unpleasant noises, and unpleasant odors.
• Volunteers must have the ability to interact with the public, shelter staff and other volunteers in a courteous and respectful manner, even in stressful situations.
• Volunteers must also have the ability to communicate well and follow directions with minimal direct supervision.
• Volunteers must be able to follow all safety protocol and shelter procedures as instructed.
